Okay, so tell me… is it brunch if there’s no mimosas? Like, for real. You have the eggs, pancakes, & maybe bacon in one spot.
But no big, fizzy glass of fruit stuff? Nope. Not done. And this Strawberry mimosa drink? It’s top notch.
I mean fresh, sweet strawberries that scream summer, that strong zing from fresh orange juice, & then the big hit: pour in cold fizzy wine.
It pops as if it’s cheering for you.
I’ve made this for all events lazy Sundays, Mother’s Day brunch, birthdays, & even on a plain Tuesday when life needed a bit of shine (and yes, no regrets).
It just feels right, like pure joy in a glass.
Why I Love This Strawberry Mimosa First, it’s easy.
Like, so easy. If you can cut strawberries & pour stuff, congrats you’ve got this.
Second, you can switch it up. Feel posh? Go for champagne.
Tight on cash? A nice prosecco or cava will do (and no one will spot the swap unless they’re big on wine).
Third, it’s both a treat & a drink. Sweet strawberries, tangy orange juice, fizzy wine there. Treat. Drink. Done.
& yes, I have had this before noon & yes, I’m okay with it.
Stuff You Need (a.k.a. your top picks for an ace strawberry mimosa)

1 cup of fresh strawberries (hulled & cut)
1 bottle of cold champagne or fizzy wine (pick your fave!)
1/2 cup of fresh orange juice (fresh squeezed is key for me)
1 tablespoon of sugar (your call based on your berries’ sweetness)
Ice cubes (your choice I skip ice for this, but you do you)
Why These Items Fit So Well Strawberries:
Bright, juicy, & just right in sweet tart mix.
Plus, they have stuff like antioxidants, vitamin C, & fiber so you can kind of say this drink is good for you.
Champagne/Fizzy Wine: The life of the party. Adds fizz, fun, & a dash of style (even if you’re still in PJs).
Orange Juice: Zesty, fresh, & the perfect sharp mate to sweet strawberries. Also sneaks in more vitamin C.
Sugar: If your strawberries are sweet by themself, skip it. But a small bit can make all the flavors pop great.
Ice Cubes: Not for taste, just to keep your mix cool which, to be honest, is always smart.
How to Whip Up strawberry mimosa drink. (Simple Steps, No Stress)
Step 1: Sweeten Those Berries (Optional) Cut your strawberries & mix them with a bit of sugar. Let them sit for 10 minutes. This draws out their juice & makes them sweeter. Skip the sugar if you like your drink light & fresh no judgments.

Step 2: Mix the Juice Base Get a pitcher & add your strawberry mix. Pour in that fresh orange juice. Stir it light. If you want to go fancy, blend this for a deep berry taste.

Step 3: Add the Fizz Slowly really slowly pour in your cold champagne or fizzy wine. If you rush it, you lose the fizz (that’s key). Stir very light.

Step 4: Serve It Pour into champagne flutes (or any nice glass). Add a slice of strawberry or an orange wheel. Drink it fast while it’s super fizzy.

How to Serve Strawberry Mimosas Like a Champ Glass Choice:
Champagne flutes are the go to, but coupe glasses have an old time cool vibe.
Timing: Make these just before serving to keep the fizz.
Party Tip: Pre mix the strawberry + orange juice in a pitcher. Keep it cold. When it’s time, add the fizz.
How to Keep Leftovers (Spoiler: There Might Not Be Any) Here’s the deal mimosas are a “drink now” thing. If there’s leftover juice mix, keep it cold for 1 2 days in a tight lid. But only mix in the champagne right before serving or it’ll go flat.
Top Tips for Making Strawberry Mimosas Cool Everything:
The colder, the more refreshing.
Check Sweetness: Taste your strawberries first to decide on sugar.
Make It Strong or Light: More champagne for a dry taste, more juice for a light touch.
Mix Up Tastes: Add a bit of elderflower liqueur or try blood orange juice for a change.
Looks Matter: Nice garnishes = a sure Instagram hit.
Other Mixes to Try Peach & Strawberry Mimosa: Add peach puree for a fruity punch.
Frozen Strawberry Mimosa: Blend all with ice for a frosty twist.
Non Alcoholic: Use fizzy water or non alcoholic fizzy wine.
Tropical Swap: Use pineapple juice instead of orange.
My Personal Mimosa Story (aka The First Time) So the first time, I way overdid the champagne pour. Foam was everywhere counter, floor, my shirt. My pals didn’t mind, though, as they were too into their sips, saying, “Whoa… this is great.” Lesson: gentle pour. Always.
And now? I’ve made these loads of times. I could do it blind (but sticky floors aren’t fun).
Last Sip There’s just something ’bout the strawberry mimosa that feels like a small party each time. It’s light, fruity, full of fizz, & so easy to whip up. If you’re up for a big brunch or just chilling in your PJs, it fits right in.
So, get those berries, open some bubbly, & let’s toast to fine mornings, good pals, & drinks that make you grin. Cheers, pal.
