Have you had a seafood Dish with pasta that made you go “wow”?
Not just plain shrimp on some spaghetti, but a real creamy, dreamy dish. It’s like eating by the sea but in your kitchen.
That’s what this creamy seafood pasta is all about.
I fell for this dish the first time I made it. It was a lazy Friday night.
I craved fancy yet no work food. Plus, I am weak for seafood. There’s just something about tender shrimp, scallops, mussels, & calamari in a rich, garlicky cream sauce. Hard to top.
Here’s the deal it’s quick & easy to make. You can wow your pals or treat yourself any night.
No stress, no fancy chef moves needed. Just easy stuff & big taste. Boom.
Why is This Pasta So Good? Here’s the lowdown. The secret’s in the mix fresh seafood with a rich but light cream sauce.
It has a bright kick from lemon zest & juice. Oh, and a little heat from red pepper flakes. Not too hot, just right.
The pasta? I pick spaghetti or linguine. They soak up the sauce well.
You want each bite coated in garlicky, buttery taste.
It’s quite flexible too like it hot? Add more heat. Like it mild? Just add less pepper flakes or skip them.
What You Need for This Seafood Dish with Pasta

200g pasta (spaghetti or linguine)
300g mixed seafood (the fresh type)
3 tbsp olive oil
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 onion, finely chopped
1/2 cup white wine
1/2 cup heavy cream (swap for lighter if you want)
1/2 tsp red pepper flakes (you can skip)
Salt & pepper, as you like
Fresh parsley, chopped
Zest of 1 lemon
Juice of 1/2 lemon
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese (skip if you want)
Why These Stuff Rocks
Pasta: It gives you energy & soaks up the sauce. Go healthy with whole wheat if you want.
Mixed seafood: Full of lean protein & omega 3s. Good for heart, brain, & mood.
Olive oil: Full of good fats, makes things smooth & fights bad stuff.
Garlic & onion: Great for taste & also help your body.
White wine: Adds deep flavor & makes things fancy. A bit of wine in food is fine.
Heavy cream: Adds richness & creaminess, but there are lighter swaps.
Red pepper flakes: Little heat bits that shake up your taste & boost your body.
Lemon: Makes it all bright & fresh. Plus, vitamin C.
Parsley: Freshens the dish, adds color & crunch.
Parmesan cheese: Tops it off with salty, savory taste.
How to Make This Creamy Seafood Pasta Easy Peasy
Step 1: Cook the pasta
Get a big pot, add salted water & boil. Put in your pasta & cook as told (about 8 10 mins). When it’s just right, drain it but keep a cup of pasta water.
Step 2: Sauté the seafood
Heat olive oil in a big pan on medium high. Add the seafood & cook for 3 4 mins until done. Remove & set aside.

Step 3: Make the sauce
In the same pan, add garlic & onion. Cook for 2 3 mins until they smell great. Pour in the wine & let it simmer for 2 mins.

Add the heavy cream, pepper flakes, salt, & pepper. Let it bubble & thicken. If too thick, add some pasta water.

Step 4: Mix & finish
Put the pasta in the sauce & stir well. Fold the seafood back in. Add lemon zest & juice for a fresh finish.

Serving It Up Fancy but Easy
Serve it on your fave plates or bowls. Add chopped parsley & more lemon zest. Sprinkle some Parmesan if you like.
Sides? A crisp salad or crusty garlic bread works well. If fancy, have a chilled glass of Sauvignon Blanc.
Leftover Plan
If you have leftovers (doubt it, this stuff goes fast), store in a fridge up to two days. When heating, add a splash of water or cream. Microwave or stove is fine.
Be careful this dish does not freeze well with seafood. The feel turns odd, so best to eat it fresh or the next day.
Hard Learned Top Tips
Don’t cook seafood too long! Really, it’s simple to overdo it, mainly with scallops & shrimp. When they’re not see through & are firm, they’re good to go. No tough seafood, thanks!
Right sauce feel is key. Too thick? Add some pasta water. Too runny? Let it sit a bit more to thicken.
Go lighter if you want. Use half and half or coconut cream for no dairy. I’ve tried both & the taste stays great.
Turn the heat up slow. Add more red pepper chunks if you want it hot, or add some of your best hot sauce. But take care, you want the seafood to stand out, not be drowned by the heat.
Go for fresh seafood. Fresh ocean taste is tops. If you buy it frozen, pick the top grade you find & thaw it right.
This creamy seafood pasta feels like a small break on your plate fresh, cozy, & full of tastes that wake your taste buds. Perfect for yourself, your fam, or to wow friends.
Plus, it’s simple enough for all cooks to get it right. So get your seafood, clean your pasta pot, & let’s start cooking.
You’ll want to make this many times, trust me. If you try it, let me know how it went. Sharing is caring, right?
