I love this latte recipe since it’s simple, quick, and gives that rich, creamy taste that’s perfect for any time of day.

The combination of strong espresso and smooth milk is always a winner, and it’s a treat that tastes like a little bit at home or in the coffee shop.

And customizable, at your choice: whether you prefer sweet or not, hot or over ice, it’s a treat!

This latte recipe is the best of both worlds in terms of robust, bold espresso and rich, frothy milk. Simple preparation comes together in about 10 minutes.

If you love coffee or just need a little pick me up this morning, this latte comes through as an easy indulgent pleasure without fuss.

The rich texture of the milk blends so perfectly with the espresso to render the milky beverage a soothing and comforting one.

You can also customize it with your choice of sweetener or flavoring to make it as strong or sweet as desired. Great for enjoying at home or serving your guests at the coffee shop, this latte is always a great choice when you need a soothing, comforting drink.

1 shot of espresso (about 1 ounce)

1 cup of milk (whole milk is the best to use, but you can use whatever type you prefer)

1/2 tablespoon sugar or sweetener (optional)

Espresso: Full of antioxidants and gives you a fast energy boost because of its caffeine content.

It’s also an amazing mood lifter!

Milk: Good source of calcium and protein that keeps your bones healthy and energizes your body.

it adds richness and smoothness to balance the bitterness of the espresso.

Sugar/ Sweetener: Add a sweetener if you want it; otherwise, it will be devoid of sugar content, and you are saving on the amount of sugar consumed.

Warm 1 cup of milk until it reaches a warm temperature, but is not hot enough to boil (around 150°F).

Froth the milk in a frother, with a whisk or by shaking it in a jar.

2 57

Pour the brewed espresso into your cup.

5 52

Pour the frothed milk over the espresso slowly and top it with foam.

6 49

Pour in some sweetener if you’re using it, stir and serve!

7 31

Present your latte in a large mug or a latte glass to highlight that beautiful foam on top.

You can even garnish it with a pinch of cinnamon or cocoa powder for added flavor.

If you anticipate guests who would want a number of lattes, you can have a small coffee bar with milk frothers, syrups, or whipped cream for a give and take experience among the guests.

Lattes are best consumed fresh. However, if you have extra milk or espresso, you might store the separate.

Extra espresso: It can be refrigerated for up to 24 hours. Just heat it up before you start using it again.

Leftover milk: Froth the milk fresh per cup. If you end up with leftover milk that hasn’t been frothed, it can be stored in the fridge for a day but it won’t froth as well the second time.

If you do not have an espresso machine, you can make strong coffee using a French press or pour-over method.

Use fresh cold milk it froths so much better.

Fresh milk from the fridge froths up beautifully!

Do use whole milk for an additional creamy latte, or oat or almond milk for dairy alternatives.

You can get creative with flavors add vanilla or caramel syrup for a hint of sweetness. If you want your latte a bit hotter, you can put it in the microwave for a few seconds but not scaldingly hot so that you don’t lose the silkiness.
