Ever had a day when coffee is just too much? You want that warm mug hug but no jitters or crashes? Yep me too. That’s how I fell in love with Matcha Green Tea Latte.

Now don’t roll your eyes & think “Not another matcha trend.” Hear me out. It’s not just for looks. It tastes great creamy cozy & a bit earthy in a good way.

It comes with health perks too. Plus it’s so easy to make you’ll think twice about those $7 shop versions.

Every time I make one it feels like a small self care treat that tastes great. The best part? Matcha gives me smooth energy. No shaky hands. No heart racing. Just steady “I got this” vibes.

So How Do You Make a Matcha Green Tea Latte ?

is like magic, It’s green tea but way better than those sad bags left in your mug. It’s fine ground whole leaves so you drink all the nutrients.

The taste? If you’ve not had matcha picture a sweet earthy creamy taste. Add milk boom silky & mellow. A bit of honey on top & you’re at a café.

I make this latte when I need a pick me up but want good sleep.

I dream I’m in a Tokyo flat. I want fancy without the fuss.

The Matcha Latte Plan Get good matcha powder (ceremonial grade if possible). Hot water that’s warm but not too hot.

Your milk pick dairy or plant based. A tad of honey or sweetener (but only if you want).

1 teaspoon matcha powder (better if ceremonial grade)

2 ounces hot water (about 175°F / 80°C)

8 ounces milk (dairy or plant based)

1 teaspoon honey or sweetener (if you like)

Matcha Powder Lots of antioxidants for health & glow.

Plus L theanine for focus. Milk Adds creaminess and nutrients like calcium & vitamin D.

Honey or Sweetener For taste & a bit of health perks.

Heat 2 oz of water to about 175°F. Pour water on matcha & whisk. It should look frothy. Heat & froth your milk (makes it better).

Mix the milk with your matcha. Add honey or sweetener if you like.

2 29

For iced matcha Ice in a glass add matcha then cold milk. Mix & enjoy.

Hot vs Iced Hot Cozy mug maybe a rainy day. Good for mornings.

Iced Tall glass extra ice maybe with cake. Feels posh with ease.

For hot Use a big mug add a sprinkle of matcha on top. For iced Use a clear glass to see that green swirl. Glass straw for extra points.

But if you have some store in a tight jar in the fridge for a day. Shake or stir before drinking.

My Matcha Tips Sift first avoid green lumps. Watch the water temp too hot makes it bitter. Sweeten as you like start small adjust up.

No frother? Warm the milk pour into a jar & shake hard.

Personal Matcha Tales First try?

A disaster. Used boiling water & no sifting. Result? A grassy mess. Now? I could make one asleep. And yes I’ve made lattes at midnight just because.

So here it is your new top drink. Rich green a bit posh & so simple to make. When you try it at home you’ll ask why you ever queued for one at a cafe.

Try it out & bet you’ll get a bit hooked. Oh & if you do make it tag me I want to see your cool green mixes!
